Charts display a symbol's price over time.
To create a chart, select the Chart tool in an empty cell in the workspace.
Data Box - a box that appears at the corner of the chart, and shows detailed information about the bar that the mouse is currently hovering on
Symbol Link - if enabled, it links different panels so that they all display the same symbol
Symbol - the symbol that is displayed in the chart
Interval Link - if enabled, it links different charts so that they all display the same interval (Day, Minute, etc.)
Interval - which type of bars to display
Price - the current price of the symbol. Will not appear if the price is unavailable (e.g., because the symbol isn't currently being traded).
Price Change - the change in price of the symbol since the beginning of the trading session
Chart Type - change the chart type: Candlestick, Box, Line, etc. This is a shortcut, since the chart type can also be changed in the Data Series dialog.
Trade Pad - click this button to show or hide a Trade Pad that is attached to the chart
Data Series - configure every aspect of the data series shown in the chart
Drawings - annotate the chart with your own drawings. E.g.: Rectangle, Trend Line, Elliott Wave.
Indicators - add automatically-calculated indicators to the chart. E.g.: Adaptive Moving Average, Bollinger Bands.
Patterns - automatically recognize patterns in the data and highlight them. E.g.: Bearish 2 Crows, Bullish Separating Lines.
Signals - constantly evaluate new data and calculate how desirable it is to issue a Buy or Sell order. E.g.: Indicator Crossover, Indicator Overbought.
Chart Panels - configure the chart's panels: e.g., their color
Data Box - configure the Data Box and Data Line: e.g., which data fields to show. (The Data Line shows the same information as the Data Box, but it doesn't have a toolbar button. It can be enabled using the Context Menu.)
X-Axis - configure the X-Axis: e.g., the date/time format
Y-Axis - configure the Y-Axis: e.g., the price range to show
Z-Index - configure which elements on the chart appear on top of other elements

Trade - show or hide the Trade Pad. Also: quickly issue orders based on the price that the mouse is pointing to.
Alerts - create alerts that fire based on data in the chart
Data Series, Drawings, Indicators, Patterns, Signals - similar to the toolbar buttons described above
Chart Panels, Data Box, X-Y Axis - similar to the toolbar buttons described above
Edit - Cut/Copy/Paste/Delete elements on the chart
Zoom - zoom the chart in or out
Template - load or save a complete chart configuration including chart Type, Indicators, etc.
Settings - configure additional properties of the chart
Add-Ons - add specialized scripts that extend the functionality of the platform
Save Chart Image - save the current chart to a PNG file
Switch to ETH/RTH - toggle between the Extended Trading Hours and Regular Trading Hours version of the symbol
Detach Copy - creates a duplicate of the chart, in a separate window
Refresh Chart - reloads the chart's data
Using Multiple Chart Panels
You can split the chart into multiple panels: e.g., show the regular chart at the top, and a Volume Indicator at the bottom. There's no direct command to split the chart: instead, when you add certain elements to the chart (e.g., Indicators), you can choose to add them to a "New Chart Panel". This creates a new panel and displays the element in that panel.
For example, in the following screenshot we're adding a new indicator of type "Bar Volume". This indicator will be added to a "New Chart Panel".
